The Molecular Devices SpectraMax M3 is a multi-mode microplate reader with a wide range of high-performance capabilities. It offers a triple-mode curvette port, accurate temperature control, microplate shaking, and comprehensive data management. Its two scanning monochromator optical system increases assay flexibility by providing adjustable optimal excitation and emission settings. Additionally, the PathCheck Sensor automatically corrects pathlengths to measure the depth of samples without temperature dependency. This enables concentration to be calculated directly from absorbance and eliminates the need for a standard curve.
The SpectraMax M3 also offers unique optical features including, reference diodes to eliminate measurement noise due to fluctuations in excitation light intensity, angled emission beam to improve signal-to-noise by reducing stray light, elliptical mirrors to maximize transmission while minimizing wavelength distortion, and high-performance UV-grade fibers to give the highest light transmissions for even the lowest wavelengths.
