EZE Seal

General Description

The EZE-Seal high pressure & high temperature, laboratory chemical reactor is easily sealed using low torque. The "Double Delta" metal gasket creates a seal with low clamping force by a wedging action in V-shaped grooves. The 3,300 psi @ 850F (227 bar @ 454C) pressure rating is based on the stress level limits of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section VIII Division 1. The closure design can be sealed with O-rings for improved sealing ease with compatible process fluids / temperatures 316SS & HASTELLOY C-276 materials are standard. Standard capacity range of 100 to 4,000 ml is suitable for lab use as a continuous stirred tank reactor (CSTR) & slurry. Access to the interior is easy since the vessel can be lowered with all the process fittings & tubing attached to the cover. A large diameter fitting (with valve) in the cover is used for adding powders & solids including catalysts & initiators. Sparging, charging, blowpipe, sampling & cooling coil process connections are ideal for most chemical reactor processes. The stirred reactor uses a 3,300 rpm MagneDrive magnetic mixer that eliminates dynamic seals for trouble free mixing.
