HiSeq 2000
General Description
The Illumina HiSeq 2000 neXtGen DNA sequencer is a short read system that uses a massively parallel sequencing-by-synthesis approach to generate billions of bases of high-quality sequence data per run on 16 independent lanes. With selectable read length between 50 bp and 125 bp and the option of paired-end sequencing, this technology can be used for a wide variety of applications. Furthermore, barcoding (multiplexing) increases the number of samples that can be sequenced.

Illumina HiSeq neXtGen 2000, includes computer and accessories as pictured.
Crated and tested by Illumina about January 2016. The machine was fully inspected and has a new laser. The cost to upgrade this unit from 2000 to 2500 is about $87K
