General Description

This is a four-color semiautomated fluorescence microscope that captures digital images of the entire surface of the cartridge for four different fluorescent dyes. From the captured images, a gallery of objects is presented to a trained operator who makes a final interpretation for each object.

System features include:
simple on-screen commands that provide user-friendly interfacing.
Rapid analysis of each cartridge in approximately 10 minutes.
Presentation of candidate fluorescent images of CTCs in gallery format for final classification as CTCs by the user.
Recording of image galleries onto CD-ROM for reporting and long-term archiving.
