- Cord blood in a processing bag is placed into the AXP and centrifuged
- Stratification results in RBC transfer to separate sterile bag, MNC delivery to separate sterile cryopreservation bag, and retention of plasma in processing bag
- Device fits into most standard refrigerated blood bank centrifuge buckets
- Processes up to six units at one time
- Recovers and isolates 97% of MNCs from cord blood
