Position Summary
The Lead Generation Specialist is responsible for identifying and developing outbound derived sales’ leads for specific product categories.
Responsibilities include the following and additional duties may be assigned as needed:

  • Develop an understanding of specific product categories and assist with product descriptions
  • Conduct market research activities – target groups, market segmentation and events
  • Assist digital marketing team to identify and implement specific product campaigns
  • Support brand awareness activities and customer relationships
  • Assist in crafting product specific outbound sales offerings
  • Execute an outbound lead generation program (phone, events, web)
  • Collaborate with internal functional groups, notably Product Marketing and Sales, to develop product information, marketing collateral and web content
  • Participate in events and tradeshows
  • Responsible for reporting outbound performance vs. metrics

Attributes and Skills:

  • Strong and proactive outward communication and networking skills
    • Outbound sales and marketing experience preferred
  • Strong listener, with effective oral and written communication skills
    • Professional phone and virtual communication skills
  • Science background, notably with more complicated and sophisticated equipment
  • Some sales and/or marketing experience preferred (conventional as well as digital)
    • Proficient understanding of the sales process – lead to close
  • Strong research, documentation and organizational skills
  • Experienced at networking and event planning/marketing
  • Technical writing skills preferred
  • Collegiate, team player
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and database familiarity a plus
  • Able to travel, if necessary

Position Type:  Temp to Hire, starting off at approximately 20 hours weekly
