On May 10th BioSurplus invoked the spirit of native Bostonian and scientist Ben Franklin to announce our arrival in this major biotech hub. And we did it in grand California style, with a tasting of select wines from our home state. (Ben was a wine lover, after all…)
Our friends at Mintz Levin provided the spectacular location, with its panoramic views of the Boston skyline; we’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you for your support. We were also pleased to welcome Fred Zeldow and Tamy Dalal from the Biotechnology Industry Organization in Washington D.C., our event co-sponsors. Many thanks to both of you, and the entire BIO team.
Angus McQuilken and the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center gave us a very warm welcome to the local community. They were extremely helpful in publicizing our market entry and even obtained a supportive quote from the Governor of Massachusetts for our press release. Thank you Angus!
On the wine front, The Mer Soleil Silver Chardonnay turned out to be the hit of the evening, and the Uppercut Cabernet was a sleeper for the reds. Max Dougherty and KH&H did an excellent job with the recommendations.
We hope everyone had a great time networking and enjoying the wine. We made new friends and are looking forward to making many more – we’re excited to be joining such a vibrant life sciences community! Thanks again for the warm welcome.
And if you’re at the upcoming Bio International Convention, which runs from June 18th through the 21st at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, don’t forget to visit us at booth 1617. See you there.
