Did you know that three times more paper is recycled than is sent to landfills?  That’s quite an achievement, and the American Forest and Paper Association wants us to do even better.  As part of it’s sustainability goals, AF&PA and its members have set out to recover more than 70 percent of all paper over the next eight years.

The organization created the AF&PA Recycling Awards as an incentive, and is now accepting entries for 2013. Businesses, communities and schools with outstanding paper recycling programs are strongly encouraged to enter, and winners will receive a $2000 cash prize, a piece of original paper art, plus local and national recognition; runners-up will be featured online.

February 15, 2013 is the deadline for entries.  Click here to enter the competition.
